Did you know . . .

that in 2009, the AFP Greater Cleveland Board of Directors affirmed its commitment to diversity by adopting the National Chapter’s definition of diversity as its own? The definition reads:
Diversity is the seeking and achieving of a broad representation of experiences, perspectives, opinions and cultures.

This year, we are working to integrate this commitment into our work.  Do you have a suggestion or an idea on how to do this well?

How to Use Social Media in Your Organization

March 3 Roundtable

Have you all heard about LinkedIn, Facebook, Ammado, Twitter, etc…Did you ever wonder who is using these on-line resources and how philanthropic they are?

Reaching donors has taken a new turn recently away from the traditional methods of direct mail and phone calls.   Nowadays, your on-line ability to be seen and to ask for money is imperative to a successful fund raising and marketing operation.   Come listen to Crystal Thies, Social Media Strategist and LinkedIn Consultant, as she shares with you details about using these social media outlets to maximize your on-line visibility, reach new donors, and raise more money.

Relationship Development Between Volunteer/Staff Leadership in a Philanthropic Culture

March 18 Luncheon Meeting

This program will be presented by a panel of veteran fund raising professionals who collectively have over 80 years of experience. They will each provide a 10-minute panel response to these questions:

• What are best practices regarding the roles and responsibilities of the Executive Director (President), the Director of Fund Development, and the key Board leader?

• How can we create a culture or milieu where philanthropy is truly infused into the mission and values of our organization?

• How can we identify, recruit and retain young leadership?

Following their presentation, guests will have the opportunity for small group discussions as well as asking questions of the presenters.

Although all are welcome, this program is geared toward fund raising professionals with at least 5 years of experience.

Click here for more information and to RSVP.
